About IAA
Neutral, independent, evidence-based.
The International Agrivoltaics Association (IAA) bridges international standards and local practice to scale credible agrivoltaic and rural renewable-energy development.
IAA was founded at a moment when dual-carbon ambitions are accelerating, agri-photovoltaic deployment is scaling rapidly, and regulatory standards are tightening. We saw a structural gap: the absence of an independent third-party organisation that could anchor projects to international standards while navigating host-country policy, and provide professional, neutral, and credible services across certification, planning, investment, regulation, and training.
Our work rests on three commitments. First, we follow the science — we will not endorse any commercial position that the evidence does not support. Second, we publish our standards and methods so that audits, plans, and training outcomes can be reviewed and reproduced. Third, our goal is always capacity transfer: clients and partners should ultimately operate independently, which is why Capacity Building is one of our three core practices.
Our team draws on agronomy, electrical engineering, energy economics, climate finance, and policy research. We serve governments, developers, financial institutions, universities and research institutes, and international organisations. We believe that enabling the same land to grow food and clean energy is among the most consequential land-use innovations of our generation.
