Method note: How agri-PV product labels avoid overstated claims
An agri-PV product label should explain origin, project linkage, production cycle, data boundary, and annual review, rather than acting as a decorative mark.
IAA treats labels as traceable and explainable claims, not decorative marks. Applicants should document product batches, production plots, project boundaries, production cycles, and baseline data. The review focuses on whether the product truly originates from an agrivoltaic context and whether public claims stay within the evidence.
For packaging, procurement, e-commerce, or ESG disclosure, IAA recommends pairing the label with a methodology note that describes data sources, claim boundaries, and review frequency. This approach is slower, but it is more durable when buyers and partners ask detailed questions.
